Our Instructors
Ellie Allen - Founder
Dance style: Ballet, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Jazz Funk
The idea of opening a studio for adults only came from Ellie’s passion and need to continue to dance and the search of variety in adult classes in the Quad Cities.
Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, dance and movement is part of her Brazilian culture, but has always been part of her life. Ellie has been dancing ballet since she was 4 years old.
Dance, education, and teaching are her deepest passions, and she has been teaching dance for 11 years total, with a pause to dedicate time for her children and family life. Ellie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Universidade Metodista de São Paulo, where she was part of the modern dance team during her student years. Along the way, Ellie had the privilege of studying Ballet with the legendary Ana Botafogo and the Bolshoi Ballet in Brazil, as well as modern dance with the Teatro Municipal de São Paulo.
Ellie also had the opportunity to study jazz and contemporary dance with Nan Giordano of Giordano Dance Chicago, both as a young dancer and as a professional. Throughout her career, Ellie enjoyed choreographing Ballet, lyrical and contemporary pieces, Ballet repertoire, musicals, and marching band routines, while also performing professionally as a dancer. As an amateur Latin ballroom dancer, Ellie continues to compete as often as she can, and she loves sharing her experiences and knowledge with dancers.
Anne Cain - Instructor

Anne has been dancing for 25 years and teaching for 12. Trained in American Ballet Theater, Al Gilbert tap, and all styles of competitive dance, she discovered early on that her true calling was teaching. Beyond the studio, Anne holds a Bachelor’s in Human Development and Psychology, a Master’s in Leadership Education and is finishing up her Master’s in School Counseling. Most recently, she performed as a Deckmate Dancer for the Quad City Steamwheelers, sharing her love of performance with the community.
When Anne isn’t working you’ll find her spending time with her husband, daughter, three cats, and three dogs. She is passionate about reading, crafting, and fostering animals.
